I don't suppose anyone caught Bonekickers last night? Dear me! It was appalling. Da Vinci Code meets Time Team meets Scooby Doo, the Scrappy years.
I don't know how 'the people who produced' Life on Mars could've got it so wrong and with a good cast too. Perhaps they had a really good budget, but blew it all on cocaine and Pringles.
The only thing it had going for it was that it the fact its unintentionally hilarious and it gave us a right good laugh in Oddy Towers.
I can't wait for Charlie Brooker's review. He'll say all the things I wanted to say, but better and funnier.

International Mixtape Project
Sometimes you come across something that makes you have hope for the world. The International Mixtape Project is one of those things. I love the idea of complete strangers across the world being brought together through music, art and creativity.

Month by month, members build a library of mixtapes and CD-Rs from some of the 1000 IMPers in 30 countries on six continents. Each member also controls a personal webpage within the International Mixtape Project online community. IMPers can update their profiles to match their musical interests, post original tracklists and cover art, comment on the mixes they've received from other IMP members, write blogs, and contribute to featured articles about music and mixtaping."
At the moment I won't be taking part, seeing as most of the music I would want to share is on vinyl and even though I have the technology, I haven't converted any of my vinyl onto cd/mp3 yet. Time to consider getting it done...

Sleb look-e-likes
Every week Mr O & I go to a local arts centre and play celebrity look-e-likes. It's not the reason why we go there, but it passes the time.
As well as having Simon Cowell, James Nesbitt, Justin Lee-Collins and Cerys Matthews on the payroll there's always plenty of other famous faces to spot.

Islands within Islands

Manitoulin Island, in the middle of Lake Huron in Canada, in turn contains Lake Manitou - the largest lake on an island in a lake in the world. But Vulcan Point in the Philippines goes one better: it sits inside Crater Lake, on Vulcano Island in Lake Taal, on the island of Luzon, making it the largest island in a lake on an island in a lake on an island in the world.

Image change
Shameless (see last 'post') has been and gone ages ago. It's not the same without Kev & Veronica and barking mad Sheila. Frank didn't have as many rambling monologues like he used to. It was still funny and I loved the psycho family squatting next door. I think they may stop at the 4th series though - the clue being the Take That song and dance number at the end. Its ending was in complete contrast to the 1st series, which was refreshingly hyper-realistic (I lived on, what is widely considered as, a 'rough' Council estate for 10 years, so I have first hand knowledge of the environment it was portraying). I'll miss it, but I think it's time to bow out and for Channel4 to comission something new & exciting, or bring back Teachers.
I thought it was time for an image change on my blog. Not bad, but Blogger should give you a wider choice of templates, because I'm still not entirely happy with it. I will also endevour to update my blog more often, it was full of tumbleweed when I checked in today.
Time to leave the computer for now, because the headache monster is beckoning and looking at a screen for too long makes him angry.
